HyperStake trades on real Hyperliquid perps — not the simulated competition engine. That means funding it works differently too: this is actual USDC moving on-chain, into and out of a real Hyperliquid trading account.
Your HyperStake balance is real money, entirely separate from your simulated competition balance. Depositing into HyperStake does not touch your competition entry funds, and vice versa. See HyperStake overview for how the account itself works, and Wallet overview for your Speculate wallet more broadly.

Depositing

Depositing moves USDC from HyperEVM into your Hyperliquid trading account, where it becomes available margin for perps.
1

Sign once

You authorize the deposit with a single signature — no separate gas transaction to manage.
2

Relayer completes it

A relayer takes it from there and completes the transfer on your behalf. It’s gasless — you never pay network fees to move funds in.
3

Pending → credited

The deposit is processed asynchronously. It briefly sits in a pending state before moving to credited, at which point it’s live as usable margin in your Hyperliquid account.
Minimum deposit is $5 USDC.

Withdrawing

Withdrawing moves USDC back out of your Hyperliquid trading account.
  • Minimum withdrawal: $2.
  • Bridge fee: Speculate reserves about $1.10 to cover Hyperliquid’s withdrawal bridge fee — Hyperliquid’s actual charge is ~$1.00, and any unused amount stays in your account.
This fee is reserved automatically before your withdrawal goes through, so you can’t submit a withdrawal that gets rejected for leaving too little behind to cover it.
